Step by step: Advancing workers’ rights through appellate advocacy

Appellate advocacy can be a powerful tool to accomplish social change. Changing the law through the courts is often a series of incremental advances toward a goal that can take years to realize. Through a series of cases, the Public Justice Center’s Murnaghan Appellate Advocacy Fellows and Workplace Justice Project have worked to expand the reach and strength of Maryland wage statutes to offer the broadest possible protections to workers. Join us for a discussion of the long and winding road of advancing workers’ rights in Maryland through appellate advocacy.
