You are invited to Regional Trends, a symposium focusing on three recent, collaborative research initiatives in the field of human mobility with a focus on Latin America. Hosted by the International Migrants Bill of Rights Initiative and the Human Rights Institute of the Georgetown University Law Center, the symposium will feature presentations by Asylum Access Ecuador, the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), the International Detention Coalition, Centro de Derechos Humanos Fray Matías de Córdova A.C. and the Universidad Nacional de Lanús. Download a full description of the event.

Prior to the symposium, on October 27th (today, 5pm EST), Asylum Access Ecuador, Sin Fronteras I.A.P. de México and USCRI will be presenting at a public hearing before the Inter-American Human Rights Commission on the “Human Rights Situation of Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the Americas – 30th Anniversary of the Cartagena Declaration” as part of our regional advocacy for improvements in refugee status determination (RSD) processes in Latin America.
