9:15 Opening Keynote – Dr. Julie Macfarlane, University of Windsor
Dr. Macfarlane will present her findings from the National Self Represented
Litigants (SRLs) Project and how they relate to the family law system.
10:15 Break
10:30 Working Groups – Each group will discuss the following question:
How are you currently dealing with SRLs, what have you learned and what can be considered best practices?

1:15 Keynote – the Honourable Justice George Czutrin and Alf Mamo
These leading voices in family law will address how we can best service SRLs with an eye to Mr. Mamo’s report from 2007 and developments since that time. Once again, the professionalism issues raised by SRLs will be addressed from the perspective of a family law practitioner and the judiciary.
2:15 Working Groups – Each group will discuss the following question:
Since SRLs are here to stay, how do we adapt and improve the triage of their cases?

3:30 Reporting Working Group Findings under the facilitation of the Honourable Justice Templeton and the Honourable Justice Henderson – Each working group will report their findings and discuss implementation strategies.
